EPISODE 25- From humble beginnings to Vogue: Olena Gurr owner & designer of OLE DESIGN kids fashion label.

If You Like It, Share It With Friends!

She calls herself a modern mom of 2, yet she is much more than just that, she is owner & designer of the popular Canadian sustainable kids fashion label OLE DESIGN, a wife, working mom, creative brain behind her label and a very strong mama (physically injured due to a car accident) and fashionista at heart.

I truly believe that everyone has a beautiful story to share and what mothers need more than ever is to share their journeys because only then can we connect with one another and see beyond the beauty and images posted on instagram, facebook and behind the ‘I’m doing fine’ generic and unemotional replies. Only then can we support mothers together and lean in on one another when the dark thought hits us of ‘i’m failing as a mom, i’m not a good mom, i don’t have the energy to do it today’. You’ve Got This Mama! This episode will remind you that we are in this together. No Shame. No Blame.

Olena Gurr shares how she found love and then immigrated to Canda from Ukraine and a turn of events had her creative side had her start sewing her son pants and hats in the middle of nowhere. Until mothers at playgrounds and in her new small town started to comment on her designs and wondered where they could buy some for their own children. That was the ‘ah ha’ moment that set her on a path of later becoming owner and designer of OLE DESIGN and being featured in Vogue Magazine. Along the way, she’s learned much about the importance of giving back and being a good mother for her kids. The opportunities we have in North America are amazing yet often people take them for granted.

Olena is a passionate, creative and inspiring mother of 2 who shares her personal thoughts, fears and deepest dream with me in this episode. So take a walk, cook that meal, do the laundry and listen to her story and mom journey.

Enjoy this fun and oh so lovely episode!
